京都での茶婚式 Tea ceremony in Kyoto

この３月に京都の料亭で茶婚式をしました。
八坂の五重塔が見えるお庭で写真をとり、お茶室での茶婚式、そして大広間で昼食会。
教会での式にも憧れたけど、せっかくの日本なのでということで茶婚式に決定。
この選択は夫も気に入ったようです。３０分の正座以外は。。。（笑）
でも小さい座椅子のようなものを足の間に入れ、それに半分座る形でしたが。。

We had tea ceremony in Kyoto this March.
Tea ceremony is a style of wedding presenting a tea ceremony.
Koicha (dark matcha tea) is prepared by a tea teacher.
We share Koicha, exchange the rings and vows.

This building is called Yasaka's Gojyunotou. (Five-story pagoda).
Tea ceremony in tea house, then lunch with the guests.
We talked about regular wedding at the church, but since the ceremony would be in Japan, we chose tea ceremony in Kyoto.
My hubby loved the whole thing except doing Seiza for 30 minutes...
though we had a "cheating little chair" between our legs..
